You could call a plumber or handyman service. Otherwise, you need to do the following:

The stuff you need to fix it:
1. a length of pipe of the same type as the pipe that's broken.
2. adapters to connect each end of new pipe to the old.
3. if you have copper pipe, you need solder, cleaner, pipe cutter or hack saw, and a blow torch.

Go to Home Depot/Lowes, or whatever major hardware store you have in your area. Talk to the plumbing specialist and tell them what you're trying to do. They can point you to the speicifc type of parts and equipment you need. They're usually pretty helpful.

Steps
1. Turn off the main water tap to your house.
2. Cut the pipe around the bend.
3. Make sure to empty the pipes of water (especially if its copper). If there's water in the pipes it may not get hot enough to make a strong bond. You can empty the water by opening one of the faucets in anther part of the house. Sometimes you may need to blow air through the pipes (from the open faucet) to get all water out.
4. Install the new pipe.

If you don't have plumbing skills or don't know how to sweat copper fittings, which I am assuming you have as you mentioned it was bent, your best bet is to call in a plumber. You could burn down your house trying to sweat connections close to a wall. There are various ways to stop the water to make the connections. It depends on your setup. Be honest with yourself. Can you do it safely? Cheaper to deal with a plumber than an insurance company on a fire in your house.

as long as u turn the power off to the heater while trying to repair it... there no need to worry about it blowing up. the best way to repair the kinked line is to replace it with a new water line. if it looks hard for u to handle.. call a plumber

Since the connections have to be made with solder fittings, it would be wise to call a plumber.

Is it leaking from the connection?... If so try tightening it... If that doesn't work try replacing the teflon tape or you might need to replace the tube or fitting.
