No, lewis dot structures are not the same as structural formulas. Lewis dot formulas show the valence electrons (bonded and unbonded pairs) while structural formulas show the way the arrangement of the atoms in a molecule.

NO. A "Lewis Dot structure" is a method of representing the valence electrons in an atom. It is not a FORMULA. It is a structual drawing, but it is not a formula. Here is an example:
Lewis Dot Structure:
Ca::0 calcium oxide
Structual Formula:
C2H5OH ethyl alcohol (ethanol)
I think maybe you are confused because both have the word "structual" in it.
But they are both helpful in ones understanding of chemistry.
