Who thinks celebrities get way to much for free? Like those gift baskets they recieve for just showing up at an event. They are usually worth over $10,000. A law just passed that they need to be taxed on those gift baskets. Do you agree with that? I don't think they should get them at all. They have enough money to buy their own. Maybe baskets like that should be auctioned off for charities? What do you think?

ya i agree with you.... All they do is make those people more greedy.. sometimes there not gift baskets. they go to a hall and there are tables set there with stuff. from clothes, acesorries, perfume, watches, gadgets ect. and they pick what they want and then they mail it to them...
i think they need to give this stuff to people who are poor. no wait, maybe stop doing these things and put the money where it needs to go!!!!

The gift baskets are not a major concern to me. I think it is a good idea that the government is now taxing them because it only seems fair.
On the other note there are plenty of celebrities that donate to charities, set up their own charities, or participate in activities for charitites. The money they give or raise is most likely a lot more than whatever the giftbasket is worth.

I think the auction idea is great. I think they should receive a 1099 for tax reasons. Most of the company's want the celebrities to wear and use their products so people like us will emulate the celebrity's and purchase their products. It's just a racket.

Those gift baskets are obnoxious. Just think of how many kids they could feed for what those cost.

i think the big gift baskets are worth like $90,000 (oscars and stuff)

As for the baskets, DONATE THE MONEY TO CHARITIES.

uhm its like an etiquette. i think lawmakers are jealous and hey we are too. but its a courtesy. without any of them: no music, no movies, no comedy NO MEDIA WHATSOEVER!!!!!!! recognize the talent and just back away...
