Read your rental agreement. Most states have a 30 day period for the landlord to refund or send a detailed letter as to where the deposit was applied. If you are not happy with it, take them to small claims court.

Depends. In TX it is 30 days to get a disposition (an accounting) or your deposit refund. Full or partial. Read your lease. Did you turn in your keys? Did you owe any money? Did you give a forwarding address? Either way, here it is 30 days to post in the mail

Is it conceivable to positioned something like "abc trading as def" on the form? i do not see how you may take a company to courtroom once you actually in no way had any dealings with them - that's probably why they have organised their affairs the way they have. i imagine you may in simple terms take to courtroom the corporation you paid the lease to, you ought to argue that they were sub-letting the domicile to you from the different corporation and that possession of the sources isn't important. Their legal expenditures will be more beneficial than what they owe you - maximum likely they'll cough up before it is going to courtroom. good success!
