Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Benin, Togo - I have visited all of these and all of them are worth a visit, of course some more than others. I would highly recommend Ghana, Mali, Senegal.
By the way, Morocco is not part of the geographical area referred to as "West Africa", but rather falls into the North Africa geographical area.

Senegal.there are some nice things to see and good places to stay and its cheap.Just one thing i can mention is the pink lake[ the water really look like its pink.. a good night life with some decent clubs and restaurants Most of the countries around the world have embassies there or a high commission.Also the roads are not to bad for travel and you can reach the neighbor countries fairly easy from there..Countries like Mali,Morocco etc

Burkina Faso, Benin, Niger or Mali.
All countries are generally safe for travellers, just take the usual precautions. Burkina and Benin are coastal countries with a more humid climate and more dense vegetation. Niger and Mali are Sahelian countries, Niger especially has a lot of desert (Sahara) and is a real gem. All four are culturally very rich, with traditional ethnic groups and animist beliefs in certain parts. It's all about people, they are beautiful, colourful adn welcoming.
These countries aren't spoilt by too many visitors. Give it a go!

Ghana.Well,thats where I'm from.it's a beautiful and peaceful country with a lot of tourist attractions.its a great place to visit and the pple are really cool,the majority at least.
