Firstly, there are couple of hundred thousand American and British troops in Iraq, while in Afghanistan there are only a few thousand NATO troops. Secondly, Bin Laden is hiding in border agencies (north or south waziristan) between Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is a very difficult and mountainous terrain. This area has always been independent in history. Even the British empire couldn't reach there. People are fiercely independent. It has neither army nor police, not even law. The only law that applies there is a 'Council of elders' and Frontiers Crime Regulations. And finally, he is protected by devoted and able lieutenants.

Oh, please. The fact is that bin Laden now is so isolated that he's ceased to be an important target. He's just a figurehead, and his capture to killing would not really change anything, except to get more people thinking that we can go home now.
So, militarily, strategically, he is not as important as getting his lieutenants, like Zarquawi, and other important players. It is these leaders whose losses cause the organization to degrade and fall apart. This shift in target priority doubtlessly came from Bush's military advisors.
The problem with focusing on bin Laden also leads us to situations like what happened in the first WTC bombing. They went after the bombers and the leader in the manner of a criminal investigation. So they prosecuted and jailed the guilty, but they never really got their networks or organization or backers.
But to think it has anything to do with anything else is just wrong.

Nope! I think you answered your own question and don't forget the vise president as well. I think Ben Laden is long gone and there are those out there who might believe he is up to his ears in 7-wife's. However; I believe that as in the Viet Nam conflict there is once again much profit being gained by private industry. And yes" our troops are paying the counter price for it and every time I use my vehicle I feel as much the blame. I guess it would be correct to say that it's not Ben Laden who we should be after its our own personal greed itself.

The government doesn't really care about us. The only reason we even have those tapes and isht are because Bin Laden sent them to us. Ha Ha Ha He plays hide and seek better than anyone. He is just bored, so he figured we would find someone to "play" with. Well "tag" America, we're "it."

With the surveillance equipment our government has that's capable of reading the numbers on a license plate, why don't they know where he is?
Maybe they do but are waiting for the right day. Maybe for another reason as you say. Maybe just before elections.
