I really did not like Math until I had a tutor, that explained everything again. What I realized then was we were just going over the examples in the book. How simple is that. So I figured I could do that by myself...and check the answers in the back of the book to make sure I did it correct.
So 1. Do the example.
2. Check the answers in the back of the book (usually the odd ones).
**Most Important** PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
Have scratch paper around practice redoing the problems over and over again until you are comfortable Do your homework. Be prepared, get enough sleep. don't procrastinate, ask questions if you are not sure, take a deep breath before a test. Good Luck! :)

Some folks just ain't got the mathematical mind. A good teacher that can explain well helps and lots of repetition solving problems. When you understand the things you can do with math in the real world, it means a whole lot more.
