Although I'm not a man, I feel that I am qualified to answer only because of my past experience with my relatives, friends, and associates which all happen to be men. Of course men want a women who has all of those qualities. Think about it, if you were a man, would you want someone who was a push over, one who follows what you say and you only or would you want a woman who expresses herself confidently and has her own mind and her own opinion. What I've learned throughout my life is that only men who have low self-esteem or who are insecure, wouldn't want a woman like that and feel threatened by the women you described. Hope that helped.

Strong confident to many women is condecending arrogance. Amoung other women it may look like confidence. To men it doesnt. Yet we see plenty of women that dont understand how men have a problem with her confidence. If we cross that line - we get unattractive, why should it differ for women? Confident can be sexy - even seductive. All she has to do is be confident and simply use it in her expressions towards him. Same as for him to her I believe. Insecure women - lol - na if ... trust me if they are attractive at all - its cos it plays on that part of man that wants to protect or rescue. Many men pick up on it early and walk off before even conversation happens. The guys that do - many of them may go in to help, pickup on the drama dynamic mistake it for passion and she may invite them close enough for the drama and sexual dynamic to get lusty and fun .... However - it gets obvious and fast that this girl is not worth the effort. She just isnt relationship material. Got the picture? Good - be balanced and confident not an insecure bag of drama or an arrogent bag of drama. Just be. Mike T makes an excellent point too. We are often more interested in her being a good partner or not.

Insecure men don't like assertive confident women. Secure men like confident assertive women.

Insecure? Hell no! I love a confident woman who knows what she has and wants. A strong woman like that is what we men need sometimes to put us in check.

This day in age you have to be careful with women and your intentions being misinterpreted. For this reason, I think women are becoming more assertive and men like it because they don't have to worry....she is interested...

I'd always go for an
assertive,confident, outspoken, opinionated and irreverent women
...but never irresponsible or rigid.

men prefer easy women if a man has a strong independent women who knows how to take care of herself he feels like a idiot men will go with stupid girls they are very very insecure

Just so long as the woman feels so confident she completely ignores what the man has to give for advice... Otherwise, why would she need a companion?

I prefer confidence and I love assertiveness (doesn't mean they'll always get their way though - it's a two way street.)
