About contact lenses /?

Question

Hello, i have a simple question.

Is wearing contact lenses something girly?


My dad let me buy color contact lenses, but isnt really "fond" of the idea.

He says he thinks they are too girly and would preffer I didnt wear them.

But the reason is actually because of a girl In school that I like.
I wouldnt tell my dad, I am really shy about that kind of stuff, and he isnt really open to that kind of talk. I'd just like to call that girl's attention. Im the only one in school who wears contacts, except of a friend who wears clear ones.

So yeah..

Also, how do I put them on? :D Like, what does it feel like? Ill be getting them in 3 days.

Well, these have no prescription, but depending on how I feel with these, I might get sone prescription ones.

I have some glasses but I never use them. I just dont like wearing them..

I only wear them when I am working in somehing that needs to be presice or when my eyes feel tired. (Not often)

But I do fine without them.

Its not that I want to hide my eyes.

Besides, the color I want is not really that natural.

Contacts are not girly. I assume you need them to see? Otherwise, it is a vanity issue. The eye doc will show you how to use, store and clean your contacts.

No contacts are not "girly", men and women, girls and boys can wear them. If this person you like is worth it, it shouldn't matter if you wear contacts or glasses. It's most important if she likes you for your personality, rather than your exterior.
Anyway... getting back to the contact lenses. If you are getting soft lenses, they shouldn't feel like anything at all. You shouldn't be able to feel them on your eye once you have them in properly. They will train you at the doctors office how to insert and remove them. It's very easy once you get the hang of it. Don't get discouraged though because it takes some practice. I have been wearing contact lenses for many years. They can be a bit of a nuisance at times but are better than wearing glasses all the time. Don't forget your glasses are still good back up. I don't think wearing contacts is girly. Just go with it and see what happens.. though the best way to a girl's heart is when you act natural. And don't worry about putting them in, at first itll be difficult but in a week or so, youll get the hang of it. The person ur getting them from will instruct you how to wear them so no worries there. And what does it feel like? it's very normal, and u won't sense them in your eye or anything.

no its not girly, i hav lots of guy friends that wear them. i wouldnt get color contacts because they fade out at the end of the month and if u lose 1, u will hav 1 dull one and 1 bright one. u should get clear to put them on, you hold both ur middle fingers above and below your eyelids with your index finger u put the contacts where the color part of your eye is. you move your eye and little and let go. i was pretty scared the first time i got them but the eye doctor helped me out. it doesnt feel lyke anything!!! i always forget when theyre in my eye. good luck

Contact lenses are unisex...makes no difference if your male or female. You may tell you father that there are benefits to wearing contact lenses...with contacts, the eyes become stronger over time and your prescription may not need to be as strong later...plus they are more comfortable. With regular eye glasses...your vision will remain the same or worsen over time

well you should never have to change for a girl but.... if you want to contact can be great other times they hurt like hell and feel as if there is glass in you eye I have worn them for almost ten years now colored contacts are kinda girly but I just asked a guy and he thinks they are ok

Be yourself man. Your eyes may look cool, but what if you start seeing this girl? She'll find out that you are faking the color of your eyes. She may think you lack confidence, which is not a good thing. try talking to her, make her laugh. Your personality will win the girl you want, not what you look like. Oh, contacts suck, they take a while to get used to and they itch like hell (an itch you want be able to rub).

color contacts does sound girly, contacts to help you see is fine..........the eye dr. will put them in for you the first time and they he'll have you do it in front of him so you are comfortable with them....................

I HAVE CONTACTS THERE WAY BETTER THAN GLASSES I THINK YOU SHOULD WEAR WAHT YOU WANT UNLESS OF COURSE YOUR DAD SAYS NO BUT OTHERWISE WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO
