And how about Johnny Depp's role? Big or Small?
Now days I'm interested in seeing all Johnny Depp movies and I'm just curious to see how big his role is in this movie.

That movie was ok. It had its scary moments and Johnny's role is slightly big. He plays the main characters boyfriend, and I believe he was in his early 20's when he was in this movie. He looks so innocent and untainted by hollywood in this one. You can tell his rebel side hadnt come out yet with this role. I thought he did a good job with it, for it being his first role and all. I'm a HUGE JD fan and I have almost all of his movies, I made sure to add this one to my collection because it was his first role. SPOILER: Yes Johnny does die, but he makes it to about a little more than half way through the movie. I think he also came out in the second one, as a cameo part.

BTW, did you know Nicolas Cage introduced him to Wes Craven(who directed it) and Wes pretty much hired Johnny on the spot?

It was a classic 80's horror flick. Johnny Depp plays a pretty major role in the film.

It's a classic! It's the movie that made me fall in love with Johnny Depp...guess I'm giving away my age! ;) He has a pretty big role in it and he is so cute!

I have seen all his movies and with exception of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Once Upon A Time In Mexico, they are all worth seeing.

You will crack up when you see Johnny Depp in that! He has a decent-sized role and he is SO cute. The movie is a total classic, too. One of the defining films of my youth.

What most people are missing here is that this film was one of the first (of many) to deal with the concept of "if you die in a dream you die in real life"....of course Wes Craven (one of his early masterpieces) plays this up a lot with gore and some awesome makeup on Freddy. The later Feddy films got pretty silly but this one is the scariest by far - my favorite scene is the girl getting shredded on the ceiling...Depp is a minor role but its amazing to see how far he's come since 21 Jump Street. if you are a fan of Scream you gotta watch this one...

I saw that movie 20 years ago. It was scarry then. I think that Johnny Depp is the guy that dies in bed? I'm not shure about that.

He lasted almost until the end, then he got sucked into his bed, and his blood went everywhere. The actor who plays Freddy is perfect because he looks like a petifile. Besides, you know johnny depp is good in every movie he's in.

It is good. I saw it back then, it was Johnny first movie role. It is not a huge role, but you get to see him enough.
