"magic handcuffs", a simple sleight of hand done really close up, wherein the conjuror places two elastics bands, one each stretched between the thumb and first finger of each hand, the bands interlocked. By gently rubbing the bands together, they seemingly pass through one another to release the hands. I even know how it is done, but remain astonished every time I see it (or don't, I suppose!)...

John Shyrock in 1995 locked himself in handcuffs and ropes, put himself in sealed bag, in a coffin, assistant lit it on fire. After 2 minutes fire was put out and coffin, all charred now, opened and assistant is locked in chains and rope, untouched and Shyrock is on top balcony of concert hall, untouched as well.
