In my day you could leave school at 15 which I did as we were pretty poor and my wage was a godsend, I worked at a supermarket and loved that job, I then worked at a place were televisions were made as it was more money, then I went to work in a sock factory and loved my job there, after been made redundant at 32 my husband encouraged me to go to college and get some sort of qualification, so off I went and a few years later I was super qualified in typing, computers and secretarial and shorthand qualifications, got a fantastic job in a lovely company, ended up been company secretary with a fab wage, had a serious accident and now I stay home because I can't work due to my injuries, but I loved what I did and never regretted leaving school without qualifications because it is never too late to get them, no matter what age you are.

After high school, I went strait to a University. In the summers I work. I dont enjoy school too much since it makes u stress out too much and its too difficult, specialy for the major im doing, engineering. If you go strait to college after high school, your peers will be mostly the same age as you. To me the sooner i started college the sooner I will be done. Im going for my 3rd year already! Im half way there. If i took a break after college then when i start college i would be saying, i could have been done with this school year if i had started sooner. You could always have a part time job after u graduate and still have fun.

I went straight into a job. i wish i has gone to university instead. Now i am having to study part time and work full time. I have to pay to study, when i could have got a student loan and paid it off slowly. So really get the education out the way, whilst your young and then think about careers. Perhaps both? Study and Work in the same path?

get the education out of the way while young. you cannot have real fun until you are making some good cash and are 21. Trust me on that.
