Friday is family movie night. Our 10 year old daughter will be watching with us so anything PG-13, PG, or G will do. She likes the usual kid stuff and is very into adventure - Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, etc. The wife and I will watch just about anything, but she isn't into dopey comedies.

i would say you would all like these movies
shes the man, what a girl wants, rv, just my luck,all the harry potter movies, x-men 1 and x-men 2, a cinderella story, mean girls, aquamrine, sleepover, pirates of the caribean ,even benchwarmers and big mommas house 2. i know your daughter can only watch what you siad but Inside Man is really good it is rated R for bad language and violence.( the F word is siad many times also the bad guys make them strip down to there underclothes) but if she can't watch it i bet you would like it. also you and your wife may like underworld and underworld evolution there kinda gory but good.
if you guys go to the theaters then i would suggest seeing Pirates of the Carribean 2 or Step Up, or even x-men 3 all are very good!!!!!!!!!

I know you said no dopey comedies, but for a family to watch Benchwarmers is really cute (So bad its good) with Rob Schriener and David Spade and the Napolean Dynamite guy. Has she seen Spiderman two? Love that one.

rent "she's the man". very funny. there is a few sexual references, but i think it would be fine for a ten year old. and you grown ups will definatly love it!

"A Series of Unfortunate Events" is entertaining for both.....then rent "Dazed and Confused" for yourself...the BEST movie of all time!!!!!!
