I don't think our personal happiness and love lives should have limits placed on them by society. Who's right is it to tell someone they shouldn't be in love simply because of age? There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it. Best of happiness to you both!!

Let me tell you something when I was 13 years old,I met this really awsome guy who was 17 at the time.I really liked him. Then years later,I'm 22 now,and he's 26 now,we married last year.
Your happiness and love is nobody else's buisness! It's your life and love after all.As long as you two are happy and have endless love for each other that never seems to cease, then theres nothing wrong with that, those people should just be jealous of you two!

Probably because most people know that relationships with that age difference doesn't really last. Also they might be jealous, or feel that there is an ulterior motive like money or something.
If it's a really big prob, then just don't tell your ages, come up with an answer that you both can answer but doesn't reveal the actual ages. something like, "well, we aren't 50 yet" or something silly to give the impression that it is none of thier business.

people are shocked to hear such an age difference.. probably some think your husband is a "cradle robber"
but if you two are happy, thats all that matters age is just a number, you are both adults.. don't worry about what others think.. if people want to busy their lives worrying and making comments about others.. they need to GET lives..
enjoy and best of luck to you and your husband!

Cause people are set in their ways and they judge everyone else before they judge themselves!
I applaud you! I'm 20 I won't date a guy that under the age of 25 and over the age of 40.

It is none of their business, so do not worry about what they say, As long as you are happy, that is all that you have to care about. Tell them that is not an issue for you both, and you do not know why they have a problem about it, Tell them to get a life. They are just jealous, wishing they have what you have.

im 48 and my wifes 28. we got u beat as far as age difference. the big difference is that i met her wen she was 24 and mature enuf 2 make a decision to go out with a much older man.
i dont know ur case, but i think i pretty much went as young as a mature man should go wen lookin at younger women. any younger and u risk finding an immature woman.
but if it works for u, y the hell shud u care wut others think???

I think it is because you were just a little kid (too young to know what you were getting into) when he married you.
At least that is the thought that is going around in their minds when they consider your marriage. True or not that is how they think of it.
