Over 212 million online shoppers mention books as among the last 3 items they purchased online.

I'm going to guess books. But that's only basing it on personal experience. Chapters/Indigo makes it incredibly easy to buy books online.

Electronics and new gadgets are probably purchased more online- my logic in that though is hilarious. Nerds love electronics and gadgets, especially new ones that might not be available in their city. Also, really hardcore nerds don't like to leave their house (natural light is bad for them) so they're more likely to sit at home in their underpants and order from their computers!

I only kid, I love nerds.

I'd say movies and music - actually even more than any adult products. So much so, that many "record" stores have closed in my area - since most people seem to be buying their CDs through sits like Amazon.com

I think women tend to shop online more than men. . .

and I know on ebay there is a way to see what items sold the most in a certain time frame (monthly?). But I can't remember how to access that page on their site. . .
