In my game Pokemon Saphire for DS/Gameboy Advance, Iam looking for the "cut" move. Iam also looking for the "Surf" move. Some guy in the game came up to me already and asked me to "Surf" somewhere. Any help appreciated, preferring step-by-step directions to retrieve these moves! 10 pts goes to whoever can answer my questions properly. Improper answeres will be reported!!!

well, the cut hm can be found in rustboro, the first town that had a gym that you could compete in. the rock gym, right before you are able to catch nincada, the town where you get the pokenav. in the house to the left of the pokecenter, there is a man that sits at a table that gives you the cut hm. in order to use it, you need to beat the first gym, the rock gym
the surf hm you don't get for a WHILE. it's quite a ways into the game, probably like halfway through the storyline. after you beat four gyms, you can go and fight your father's gym, the normal type gym in petalburg. after that fight, go to the house to the left of the gym, and i believe that is where you get the surf hm (though i'm a little sketchy on that)

just go to rustboro and find the house that has the sign saying "the cutter" he gives you the HM it's funny his brother in i believe mawile has a brother called the rock smash guy
