hi, i started doing situps a while ago but then stopped because my friend told me that they are bad for the womb.
Is this true?

No. Doing situps will strengthen your abdominal muscles (and to a certain extent back muscles), which will come in very handy if you ever get pregnant.

Doing situps each and every isn't this manner of solid theory. in case you abs are sore after doing situps you may desire to enable your physique relax. till you abs are discomfort loose then proceed. besides doing to lots exercising will substitute the form you look interior the long-term.

Obviously if you're pregnant then yes it is bad for you. I haven't done them since I got pregnant and I used to do them all the time (trained as a dancer).

But otherwise its a great way to tone up your abdominals!!

I used to do situps all the time before I got pregnant and the doctors and midwives are always well impressed with my abs (I'm 25 weeks)! They are still pretty strong even though my belly is big now. And no stretch marks! My midwife thinks that thanks to all the toning I've done, my labour will be easier and my belly will just snap right back into place after the birth!!! Can't argue with that!

Its only better...strengthens the muscles in your abdomin to protect your womb.
