I don't at all. I think it is disgusting and completely wrong to go around with an animals fur coat around you. There are many farms where they kill animals ONLY for selfish people to have to keep them warm. I mean there is synthetic fur, can't they go to the legnths of sacrificing a softer jacket. It's just another one of '101 ways to extinct all living animals'. This is just my personal view, what do you think?

I myself, personaly, agree with you, I think it is udderly wrong and disgusting to kill an animal for its fur when you can go right out and get a fake fur coat and get the same results, I am not saying that everyone should believe this, I myself do believe it is wrong though.

Well, only if it came from an animal that was used for food, not just killed for its fur. I agree with you.

And the answerer above me:
There is a difference in using the hide of an animal that was used for food anyway, and killing animals, especially small ones that takes 20 or so to make one coat, just for their fur. And using an animal for food is natural, people need protien, so that's just an excuse, and not a very good one at that. Get a leather jacket, or better yet, cotton or polyester.

If the farms that raise animals for their fur didn't exist then the animals would not have been born at all. You can say the same thing about a farm that raises animals for meat. Maybe a short life is better than no life at all??

I wish there was a way for only fur from an animal that died naturally. Other than that, i do not agree with fur. Never should anyone kill an animal for fur.

Hmmmmm.... Yummmm!!! Venison!!! Oh! hey! look ... leather for a new jacket too!!...

And rabbits for stew... and fur for mittens...

Their fur kept them warm, and I believe that if you kill them and eat them... then it is ok to use their fur for clothing also...

Not very many people are allergic to leather (they may be allergic to fur though) but the number of people allergic to synthetics is growing...

I hear people say that we don't even need coats anymore... from warm house to warm car to warm work or store... etc...

And yet every year people freeze to death because they did not have sufficient clothing with them for emergency situations...

God gave us animals for our use.. not to use wastefully but to use wisely...

Some animals we do need to hunt in order to limit their populations (of course some people get upset and get laws passed to prevent this)...

I think that if a law is passed to stop me from killing pests on my property.. then the law should also pay me for the damages caused by those pests... or else the law should be null and void on my property.

Oops! hehe.. got carried away!!

certain certainly, its good for the monetary gadget and for the surroundings. make sensible you recognize the position it comes from, eg in China environmental guidelines are literally not respected, and therefore harm is being made to nature. in case you purchase operating example issues made a seal fur from Canada you recognize its good because there is environmental guidelines that are being respected and totally positioned to outcome. certain, there is too many rabbits, certain there is plenty seals, if there is too many rabbits or seals they'll take over yet another species (food chain they ought to). So by using allowing this you'd be helping the surroundings, and the monetary gadget.

Yes. Animals should have fur. Real fur does keep you warmer than the fake stuff.

i think some of what you said is Right but not all of its true .....what do you eat ...what do you wear on your feet... any leather there....and what about the trees that have to be harvested so you have paper to type on........i agree hunting and trapping should be regulated but not for the native Americans ......if we didn't have regulated deer hunting season they would starve to death they are not even having to hunt them in the city suburbs.. because we removed the forest so the could have suburb community...and i am sure you have wood some where in your place...and what about the chemicals it take to make synthetic fur where does that get dumped..i was raised by my grandpa who was a hunter and we had a lumber business.. i was taught that if you kill it you eat and if you cut it down replace it...

I bet that people gripping about fur coats have leather shoes on and eat chicken and hamburgers. I know a lady she started gripping at me because I had a mink coat on. Well when I asked about her shoes and eating habits she said, " Well that's different". I call her a hypocrite. If you go total vegetarian and plastic shoes you can argue with me otherwise you are just jealous about my coats
