Does anybody know of any uses for the plaster. There is going to be a lot of it after we remodel, if there is anything I could use it for instead of throwing it all away. Please let me know.

burn the lath in the patio fire place and put the plaster to work as a garden path... or landfill the lot!

About all it's good for is landfill. When I renovated a house built in 1924 I had tons (really, tons) of it. Depending on the age of your house, the plaster may include horsehair, which can really add to the allergic fun. Dump it.

LANDFILL.

BTW, a lathe is a wood turning machine to make spindles. Lath is the wood that is used to support plaster.

We just gutted our bathroom of plaster and it makes a MESS. Unfortunately, it has no value and is trash. Some of it contains asbestos, some of it horsehair and such.

Throw it away. You're talking of real rubbish, dirty, powdery stuff that makes people sneeze, gives them lung disease and worse. Keep the stuff damp, especially if it's windy.

most of it will be broken in to pieces of cracked beyond use when removing it anyway so I would just throw it away....it is one time use stuff.
