belly piercings are the ones that get infected the most. and what do you mean by PLAY WITH IT? anyway, dont pull on it or twist it or anything like that. and remember - you have an opening in your skin which is an open port for bacteria which means that there is a very high risk for it to get infected. Make sure you do not touch it with dirty hands, wash them well and clean the piercing with antiseptic, keep it dry.

uh....YEA

the navel is the hardest piercing to heal. it takes a year plus to fully heal.

don't play with it.

AND

don't over clean it. 2x a day is fine. and just to tell you the proper after care

anti bacterial soap (anti microbial if you can find it) 2x a day. clean around the area, do not work the soap into the piercing. also, sea salt soaks are a good idea. go buy some sea salt (not regular salt!) 1/8th teaspoon for every 8oz...basically it should be no saltier than a tear.

either use a cup and hold it against your navel, or soak a cotton ball and hold it there. 5-15 mins once or twice a day. that is your best bet.

most likely, to say nothing of the bacteria on your hands you also pulling it from the surrounding skin into the wound and possibly creating small tears in the healing fistula which is perfect for germs to set up residence-or at the very least make healing time a lot longer. be sure when your cleaning it all the time your not meaning you over clean it-this can also cause problems. use the sea salt mentioned above but it's actually 1/4tsp to 8oz water 2x a day for 10min

Yeah, you should just leave it alone so it can get used to being there. Make sure to clean it with rubbing alcohol or something like that, it'll probably sting but atleast it will be clean!

possibly, you say you are cleaning it all the time, but are you cleaning your hands? most infection is spread by bacteria on the hands.
