Depends on who issued it. The common issuers are the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross, however there are many others. Most last 1-2 years and 3 at the most. The card should have a "reccomended" recertification date printed on it.

Mine is AHA and lasts 1 year, however I have an additional card that lasts 3.

Basic CPR cards usually expire in one year.
CPR for healthcare professionals last two years.
