i love my mother in law she is one person i could talk to when having a problem and she doesn't take sides. she tells us both we are wrong and stays neutral when we do tell her something. i can talk to her as a friend and she wouldn't tell her son. I like that about her. She listens and tells me what would be best in her opinion but she doesn't try to make me do something she thinks is right. She lets me make the decision.

I can tolerate her. I don't really like her because she is rude, evil, and always negative. My girlfriend can never do anything right, nor can I. I only take her crap because she is very important to my girlfriend. I dread the phone ringing because it might be her on the other end bitchin'! She doesn't really like to talk to me- when I answer the phone, she straight away asks for my g/f. We have been together for nearly two years now- you'd think Mom-in-law could be nice and ask me how I'm doing! Yeah right! I avoid her as much as I can.

If I don't like the Mother-in-Law, I will not marry her daughter. Daughters will turn into their Mothers someday... I believe a drama free life is the only way to go.

I don't like her at all and she doesn't like me. It's a great relationship.
She dislikes me because her son chose to marry me hence moving far away from her.
I dislike her her because she had an affair while still married to my husband's father. She told her other kids. My hubby found out about it when the hospital called us to inform us his father had a heart attack when she told him she was leaving and was having an affair for 3 years!
Sorry, but I think fidelity and integrity are important!

I don't know whether to put yes or no because it just depends really she is a nice person and all but she thinks she knows best how to raise my kids and she doesn't listen when I leave my son with her when to give him his food or a bottle and then it screws up my schedule at home!

My mother-in-law is a most precious gem! Even at 85, she is the best morale booster, in our household. Her talents, patience and courage are exemplary. One really has to see her, to believe in her great and unique qualities. She is "Inspired by Life!"

I despised my last (now ex) mother-in-law, she hated me cuz I took her mamma's boy away. Geez I could have saved myself 21 years had I just let the ***** have him.
My present S/O's mother is awesome, though. Course she's an alcoholic, but a fun one.

I have a good relationship with her, because since the day I got married there was a certain limit to our relationship, we don't interfere with each others lives and we respect each others ideas.

no because she is too stubborn it's her way or the highway and if you make her upset she doesn't want an explanation at all i think that is wrong. in order to resolve conflict there has to be a good line of communication which she lacks but my husband sees it too and always has my back .

i am not married so I do not have a mother in law.
i once read in an article that even if you cannot become her friend, do not become her enemy.
Just thought that should hold some truth.
