There is a Passion Play in Spearfish, but I don't know the time of year. Also, Devils Tower is nearby, made famous by the movie "Close Encounters". The stuff around Deadwood (casinos nowadays), the Black Hills and the monuments have already been mentioned. The Corn Palace is on the other side of the state. The Badlands are nearby. The State Game Lodge was the summer white house for Calvin Coolidge. There are a couple of caves in the area. I don't think a week would be enough time to see all there is to do in the area. None of this is very far from Sturgis.

Sure, there is quite a lot to see. First and formost you have to visit Mt. Rushmore, then it is off to the Crazy Horse memorial. From there you should go see Deadwood the old mining town that now has an HBO series named after it. In Deadwood you can see Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Janes Graves, learned the history of the town in the museum. There is also scenic drives all through the Black Hills. Don't forget to buy black hill gold.

NOT MUCH at all

Go over to Mitchell and look at the corn palace
Go hunting/fishing
Go to Mt. Rushmore-warning,,,this only works once....it is possibly one of the few places more boring than Sturgis
Go to wall drug just for grins
Go ...anywhere else

got the picture??????

get a bike, go , and only return for the rally
