I am no longer operating under my old business name and I would love to change my email to something closer to my actual name.....any ideas how to do this?? If not, is it possible to close an existing account and start a new one??

Yes, you must register a new name. No way to change the old one.

Go to "my account" option on yahoo and revise your info from there.
normally, if you stop checking your email, the provider (yahoo) will eventually de-activate your account.
Just apply for a new oe is the easiest way. Just print-out your address book so you can transfer your contacts.

youy have to create a new profile, then you will have an additional address as well as the old one, or you can delete the old one

it possible to close the yahoo mail id . and you can have nice name also.
