The games are still on my computer and causing some problems.

So, you don't want to ever play games, right? Everyone that has answered is really paranoid about spyware. Wild Tangent's website addresses this in it's faq. Please read this before you get rid of it. They're games are a lot of fun. I'm as much of an anti spyware person as anyone, but I have one of their games and I love it, and my computer is just fine. http://support.wildgames.com/wt_nsp.html

Exactly, Wild Tangents are like SpyWare.
Go to your Control Panel, and use ADD/REMOVE programs. Scroll down to every one of the Wild Tangents games and use REMOVE. Then go to the bottom and remove Wild Tangents.
Since there may be some remnants, you want to get MEAN. Visit http://www.download.com and get these TWO really great free anti-spyware programs. Use the search box.
Ad-aware - from Lavasoft - it looks through files.
SpyBot - SpyBot Search & Destroy is great, it looks through your registry
This double-whammy is awesome. Between these two programs, the Wild Tangents Games will be gone.

To manually remove this adware:
From "Start" - "Run" - type in regedit
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run.
In the right side pane look for the value "wcmdmgr" and delete it.
Close Regedit and restart your machine.
Remove the subfolder "WT" from your WINDOWS or WINNT folder.
I had the same problems!

get a program called "xoftspy" it detects and removes "wild tangent"
