The best metal band was Pantera,heavy riffs and some real excellent guitar solos that I even have trouble trying to play but then dime bag got shot in the face while playing in a new band after the singer broke the band up but 1 person thawt it was dime bag that broke up the band and loved Pantera so much he went and shot him on stage in front of eveyone,shot but didn't kill his brother the drummer and open fired on the crowed before the gunmen was shot dead by the police.

Zao,Black Dahlia Murder, The Red Chord, Converge,Coalesce, A Scanner Darkly, Some Girls, Scarlet, Nehemiah, Unearth...thats just some.I don't think just one band is "the best"
