Oh gosh, let's see: In the last 5 years we had a near-fatal auto accident that ended my nursing career and almost killed me. I had 16 surgeries and my husband had 2 because of this. He's been with me all of the way; helping me learn to walk again. Then last year, we lived in Waveland, MS where Hurricane Katrina came through full blast. We floated on an ice chest (no we did not live in flood zone...but tell a hurricane that!) for 6 hours and went through 6 days of total shock. We left the house with a change of clothes (wet) and a loaf of bread. We're still struggling with all of this, but we're doing OK compared to some poor souls. It's been hard. But, we're stuck together like glue and are grateful for every day. Thanks for asking.

We were 10 minutes away from losing our first son at birth. if it had been later the neonatologist would have gone home. As it was he was crash carted to a big hospital where we waited for a week to get any info. It all turned out but that first week with her in one hospital and the kid in another and no good news wore heavily on both of us. We did not know if there were going to be any long term problems for 6 months. That was the worst, not knowing.

This probably would not sound that "difficult" even as positioned next with lots of the different memories you frequently see in this website and in books/videos... notwithstanding it changed into shifting to the u.s. I moved the following from Israel the summer before fifth grade and it changed into the form of vast replace. i changed into used to residing 2 streets faraway from my grandparents, uncles, aunts, large-grandparents and ideal acquaintances. i changed into in a position to run round barefoot and purchase sweet each and anytime i wanted to swim in the river that is going by the middle of "city" (which isn't a city), and bypass over to my acquaintances' domicile each and anytime i wanted and to holiday my motorcycle round and performance to holiday in a automobile (which I hated) perhaps once a month or 2. yet when I moved the following I had to study a thoroughly new language, make new acquaintances, get used to a sparkling domicile in a sparkling u . s . with thoroughly diverse human beings and custom. It changed into troublesome, and nonetheless is slightly, fairly protecting in contact with the acquaintances and kin that I miss a lot lower back domicile... yet i'm so so chuffed I moved. My existence must be not something if I hadn't, there are such quite some factors i wouldn't have general about myself and such quite some human beings i ought to in no way have met if I hadn't moved. So yeah, quite general, yet nonetheless. desire issues get more beneficial valuable for you, and chuffed vacation trips (:

Losing our 2nd child (boy) after being in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 4 weeks. That was very hard. Holding a memorial service and burying a very tiny casket was devastating. I pray no other parents go through my experience.

My husband, his sister, and her husband were at a gas station at 1:30 in the morning one morning and a guy threatned them and told them to get out of the car. Then he started shooting at them. My husband was shot in the back, my brother-in-law was killed, and my sister-in-law was stomped unconscious. I was at home with my son and their 2 sons. Thankfully the gun shot wound to not damage anything. He was in the hospital for a day. I have never been more scared in my life. When my sister-in-law called she didn't know how my husband was.

My wife had to have a liver transplant five years ago.
She almost died waiting for her new liver.
She's great now and life is sweet.
