My bf and I haven't seen each other in three weeks, we only see each other on the weekends because he lives in Philly and I live in NYC. He told me we would spend this weekend together but since he doesn't have his car running right now I have to go pick him up and bring him back and then again on Sunday take him home. Suddenly, now he can only stay here with me till Sunday morning, meaning we will only spend tonight and tomorrow together because his friends and him are meeting on Sunday for a football thing. I got really upset because I feel like I want to see him so bad that I'm willing to take the trip back and forth twice to get him and bring him back, pay for gas and tolls and he makes me feel like he doesn't want to see me as much because he's cutting our weekend in half to spend time with his friends... which I wouldnt be upset about if we had seen each other the past two weekends but we haven't. You would think that he would want to spend the whole weekend with me, no?

I understand your anguish but this is a mature relationship, right? where you guys have lives outside of each other. He has made arrangements with his mates. It's about balance - for him as well as you - not about one person, one life. Maybe you are practising for marriage?

So you need a mature, non-accusatory, discussion with him about what each other feels. Encourage him (as a friend) to talk about the things that turn him on .. like football, mates and so on. Do you actually deserve more than he's giving you already (well, of course you do ... but everybody is human). Do YOU have a life outside of him? Maybe you should. Know what I mean? It's about balance and allowing people to be themselves and finding a way of being together ... if both of you need that.

Long distance romances are difficult to maintain if one is not willing to go the "distance." So, find someone closer to home.

Why do we put up with crap from a bf or gf but not from a good friend?

I read some of your previous questions, and mulling it over i would say he is getting bored and wants his friends and freedom more than you, sorry to seem harsh but you gotta sit yourself down and go over your relationship in your head and maybe figure out you have more to offer to someone who will love and respect you like you deserve..

why not find someone local and forget about him. obviously he doesn't want to be with you. He's only using you for one thing: Transportation (j/k). you know what it is. like the other guy said, move on. Before you really get attached to this dlck.

Save some money. If he wants to see you,he can find away. If he wants to get together with his friends to play football, than be with you. DOESN'T that tell you something?????? Bootie Call...
