My son is 13 and his best friend (a girl) is turning 13 and has invited him to her birthday party. What do you think would be an appropriate gift for him to give to her? He's at a bit of a loss for ideas.

Depends on your budget and her interests. Think which type of things she likes and also fits in your budget.

Since they are best friends he should know what she is "into". Just steer him clear of inapropriate things such as underwear. If she has pierced ears, he could give her earrings. A lot of teen girls I know (including my daughter) are into fashionable/weird belts. Your son should know what her favourite band is so it could be a gift to do with that...posters, t-shirt, calendar, etc.

Fall is coming up. Depending on your budget, some fall clothing might be nice - you can't go wrong with a pair of gloves.
