The last time I checked, they were the only humans on the planet....and they had WAY more children then 17, probably hundreds. I mean Adam did live to be more than 900 years old...those were very boring times...there was nothing better to do.

17 children is just tradition, there is no real evidence to say that that was the amount they had. The bible just says that they had sons and daughters, probably quite a lot. In any case because adam and eves children were so close to genetic perfection, inbreeding was not an issue as it is now, they were sufficiently perfect to populate in that way without genetic defects.

It was God's plan! Remember that ADAM and EVE were the first "man and woman" created. They were destine to start the human race! Every race, creed and ethnicity, every diseases were in there genetic make-up. There children had to marry each other to continue the human race. Each one of their children carried a "different" part of the genetic making of a different race and disease. God planned it that way, otherwise we would no longer exist!
As the human population grew, and God's plan came to pass; God change it! The right genetic combinations had been reached.
History shows that as siblings married after a certain period in time, the babies are born with birth defects and/or die!

There was no 'intermarrying'. Read your bible carefully and you will see that there were other people in the world with which to mate. Adam and Eve were the first to 'be created in God's image'. When they were cast from the Garden of Eden they ended up in the normal world with ordinary people.

How do you know it was 17 women were not mentioned in the bible. Some men never thought that women should be mentioned. Since they were just to have babies.

Where'd you get 17? I estimate 300 and they could only marry each other or their neices and nephews later.

That only went on until monkeys evolved into humans and were then part of the co-species.
