That's a very general question, I know and have known a lot of people and no one ever said I want to go to hell, so I guess you mean why do people act like they want to go to hell?
Nobody really knows what it is like for absolute certainty or from a visiting standpoint. I think people lose faith because they think they are currently in hell, because they have a bad relationship or no money or life is generally terrible for them. So some may say, why should I care because my life is hell.
I chose to believe that hell is far worse than anything that can be imagined or lived on earth. If I had to take a stab at what it's like: I picture it as no rest, constant torture and disrespect, a vision of eternal doom.
It kinda is frighting to think about. I try to always give respect before deserved and to treat people with compassion. If you were to judge yourself how do you think you would add up?
I always thought that being mean and disrespectful is easy and anyone can do it. Don't take the easy way out, show people you have a heart and don't worry about fitting in or being judged by anyone else.
I will make you one guarantee in that I would stake my soul on. from a personally deep experience I know for a fact that something happens after death. I will not get into the story because I don't want to do it here. I don't know exactly what happens and will not quote any scriptures, like I said I personally know something absolutely happens.

they probably dont want to go to hell they may just say that. or some may not believe in hell so they dont think they have to worry about anything happening to them in the after life

i don't think people really do want to go to hell but they feel that they will never be worhty enough to go to heaven. Also a lot of times we feel that heaven is an unreachable place because we never seem to live right and follow God's commandments fully.

Why do people not change their ways since they will go to Hell if they don't?

If you don't want to go to hell. behave, and be nice. Christ will decide for you, on his second coming, who goes to heaven or hell! Don't live a wild life with drugs, and prostitution, You want your name in the book of life!! Like i've said, Christ will decide where we belong. Good luck!!

no one wants to go to hell thats absurd who would want to spend an eternity in torture? people just do things that make them desreve to go to hell coz they don't think about the consequences too much.
