I'm not sure about the fruit part (I'm not touching that with a 10ft pole,she mutters San Francisco under her breath) but all the nuts are in Washington DC so that gets my vote

Well growing up a Californian I can tell you it's a bti of both. Of course there is the fruits and nut festival which includes a parade and festive gathering. Hershey's float was by far the biggest and most expensive of course... 8-|

Agriculture. Only uptight and uncreative people would think of Californians as nuts and fruits. Or maybe other states are mad that at one point we were by ourselves the 5th largest economy in the world.

we Californians are quite eccentric and free spirited as opposed to many other areas.. and i have been to nearly every other state of the union.
California also produces most of the produce for many areas of America so i say thank you to the fruits and nuts here who provide us with fruits and nuts.!

Funny! But yes it's correct. probably 60-70% of the nations fresh produce is grown in Ca.
