say u have a 10 and Q and on the flip comes a 10, 7 , J, u catch one pair of 10, but everyone else folds but one guy. so u keep playing because u have a pair and it was only 50 cents to call so now its between u and him now. on the turn comes an 8, its ur turn to check or raise, u raise 2 dollars trying to make the other guy think u got a straight jack high but the other guy calls beacuse he thinks u're bluffing. so now u are in trouble because because the other guy thinks ure bluffing and he'll call whatever amount u bet. so on the river comes another 8 and u dont get a straight, so would u go in all in beacuse u still have pair of 10's and the other guy most likely might not have anything at all or if not go all in, how much would u bet ?

The best way to answer this question is to ignore the specifics and talk about going back to basics.

Playing QT is a sure way to get yourself into trouble in the long run. You are much better off rebuilding your game from scratch, so that you don't find yourself in this kind of sticky situation so often.

You really shouldn't even be in the hand. Without even seeing what suits are on the board, this guy's got so many outs (or ways to beat you). You don't even have top pair. You should check, and when he bets you should fold.

I would check and if he bets (which he probably will) cut your losses and fold you have a low to mediocre hand and those are the ones that always get you in trouble. Remember there will be another hand after this one.
