I have this weird smell in my closet every time i leave it open.Its like a dead rat smell.I heard usually the smell will go right away but its been along time i dont no wut too do! I have this shelf at the top of my closet,and im thinking thats where he sucker died.But most likely not,should i tear down the wall?

No if it was a rat he would have rotted away,a mice that is maby its your shoes

It will take about 2 weeks for the odor to fully dissipate if indeed it is a dead rat. There's really nothing you can do about it except wait.

Blimey!! That sounds awful but if it's a dead rat it'll take a few weeks to clear but do try to find the remains & get rid. If a mouse do the same & if a dead body...RUN FOR IT!!!

. If that doesn't doityou may have a dead rat in your clothes,maybe in a pocket or under papers. take all of your things out, and check them,,,, check the closet for cracks, and holes rats or mice could get into and seal them with sealant like Styrofoam of corking. if that doesn't do it repaint the closet after closing all cracks and such.

Clean out your closet. You'll find a dead body. It may be an animal...but who knows. Just start cleaning...today.

Get one of those blood hound ogs and let him in there. He will locate where the smell is strongest and you can just cut a hole there.

i,d try spraying it down with clorox bleach and leave home for a day while the house aired out
