Bloody hell, nobody seems to know the answer to this one, the only thing I can say is it is a mild stand alone swear word & not a replacement for any of the others suggested
Bloody good question though!

It's a British swear word. It can be used in many forms. Such as "It's bloody hot outside." or "I can't bloody be arsed." It's really hard to define the true definition of it, come to think of it, hmmm, we use it in so many ways. I'm bloody confused now lol! :)
I am aware this is a rubbish answer...sorry lol

Hi. The word bloody is derived from the old expression "By Our Lady" which was a phrase used in times long gone! It is used by many, not so much as a swear word, but more for emphasis.

This is a complete guess, but I can only assume that bloody is polite way of not saying F***ing.

His real name is Bill Oddie! Say it quick and you'll know what I mean!

Its a swear word. For many, it is just second nature to say this, it is part of their language. For some though, it is said when they are angry or if they dislike something.

It's a politer way of saying "fuckin'", in its non-sexual contexts, but it's still far from polite though. Peace and love. Be lucky.
