I had a tubal ligation 4 years ago. I understand a eptopic preganacy is more common but can you have a real pregnancy after. I am a week late and have been having some symptoms like some non sever pain in my ribcage just below my brest, slight breast tendernes and a cramp or pain in my lower stomach on the left side. I haven't had any nausea and the pregnancy tests I took both say negative. Will a eptopic pregnancy show up on a home test?

Pregnancy is possible after a tubal ligation but of the women who conceive after a tubal the vast majority do so within the first year after having the procedure. It is very unlikely that you are indeed pregnant. An ectopic does show up on a pregnancy test.

Actually an eptopic pregnancy is unlikly to show up on an at home test, so you should really see a doctor very soon. If it goes on for too long you could be facing a lot of medical problems that will be very painful.

An ectopic pregnancy will show up in a home test. Take on over the weekend and if you still don't get your period by Monday speak with your doctor.

You need to seek medical attention when you are having symptoms that are bothersome to you. You are worried, do the right thing and put your health first. See a doctor before anything gets worse.

I really don't know. But, if you suspect you have this condition you REALLY should see your Doctor IMMEDIATEDLY as it IS life threatening. Don't wait until the last minute.
GOOD LUCK!!
