I live in Arizona and our former Govenor Fife Symington went to prison for tax fruad back in the late 90's. He was a real Piece of ****. He was doing land devlopment in downtown Phoenix that was tearing down peoples houses to put up stripmalls.

Yes, former Louisiana Gov.Edwin Edwards is in the federal pen in Texas. He has been in the pen for at least 2 1/2 years.

Marvin Mandel - D Maryland. Mail fraud and racketeering. In the 70's. Not sure what prison. A federal one I think. Not sure how long.

if you are a governor and you want to do anything from shooting somebody in the face to lying to the public or missappropriating funds or illegally importing and selling drugs and weapons or having people illegally arrested and tortured then go ahead and do it with full impunity.
