i just installed it 4 days ago, could there really be this many update, or what is wrong and how do i fix it

is there a way to have them automatically be installed or do i have to click ok everytime

That is fine. Just make sure your on a highspeed connection to allow the updates to be downloaded faster.

Trend Micro is just doing its job, since when you install the software from the internet or a CD-rom, the files on there are old. So right now its updating to the newest availble ones for your protection.

On average 1500 new and modified Malware programs are introduced to the net each month. Thank God that most are old Malware with modifications. Many of the old modified ones don't need a major updates. If all that number was new malware the companys would be overwhelmed.

So, yes, you will see lots of updates. My security programs sometimes updates several times a day.

Yes this is normal. Anti Virus companies are constantly updating the definitions to include the latest threats. The updates shouldnt take too long and to stay protected you want to install them when they are available.

Most virus programs update daily, because there is at least 1 new viruses, spyware, adware, torjans, etc. written every day.
