For India, in total, all snake bites: 15,000 to 20,000 per year (reference 1). No good statistics are kept, broken down by snake species involved- possibly because the offending animal cannot be located or identified (bitten at night, child too young to identify snake was bitten with no witness, etc.).

Another reference puts this at 10,000 to 50,000 snakebite deaths per year in country (reference 2), with primary offending animals being the Common Krait (Bungarus caeruleus) and the Asian Cobra (Naja naja).
