nice is always subject to interpretation plus its a horrible adjective becasue it explains nothing. eg. "a nice house" is very hard to imagine because no one will undertand you definition of nice. As for English being the "nicest" language - I believe it is not. There are more beuatiful languages such as Greek, Latin and even Spanish - when spoken correctly" Other languages such as Japanese are more refined and cultured than our English Language. So no English is not the nicest Language - it is actually one of the most difficult to learn and one that makes no sence to the rest of the world.

The romance languages are the nicest. Frenchmen and Spaniards can tell an English speaking woman that she looks like the south end of a north bound dog and the woman will swoon and fall in love. There is no way you can make that sound romantic in English.

well, that's probably as much opinion as anything. But the grammar and spelling of English are very confusing to learn. A language like Spanish or Hindi have basically one way to spell a word, as they have one letter per sound. This makes it a lot easier. Also, the grammar is more systematic in some other languages. English has a lot of "exceptions to the rules" that make it tough for foreigners (and sometimes even non-foreigners) to learn.

I think that Italian is the most beautiful of languages.

German, Japanese, Arabic, and Persian are the most horrible of languages. Very harsh sounding!

Yes I certainly think so. If it was good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me. The King James Bible is one of the most beautiful works of art and religion written.
