Some people in the family would be and others wouldn't be, it all depends on the individual. some people feel very strong about this subject and not mixing others aren't, as long as you are happy and treated well it shouldn't matter what others think anyway! They shouldn't have any say so oh but they will, just be ready for it and don't let anyone change your mind just b/c of the tint of skin it's all whats underneath and the coat we shed, it's just a shell for our orgins and soul.

My family couldn't care less whether I marry a white person or not. The only thing that is important to them is that this guy makes me happy. Currently I am dating a white guy and my parents like him because he makes me laugh and we make a good couple.

On the flip side of your question, I'm white, and only part of my stepdad's family would be upset if I dated outside my race. I'm not fond of his family (neither is my stepdad) and I don't see them very often anyway. I don't see why race should matter.

speaking from a parenst point of view.........i would be a little surprised if my daughters came home with a white boyfriend but if he treats them right and he is a christian that is all that would matter to me....it took a while to get to this point because i have older parents and they were treated very bad back in the 30's and they told us not to marry outside our race. but as long as they are treated right that's all that matters.
God bless

my family was fine with it. My brothers and I were taught that as long as we are loved and treated right and we return that love and respect then it doesn't matter what color the person their children loves.
My husband is white and I have a white sister-in-law.

Who cares what anybody thinks? What do U think? You are the one that have to live your life not family or friends! Just look at it like color should'nt be an issue when you deal with a person!

My mom and dad wouldn't care because my dad (whose indian) was engaged to some other indian chick when he got married to my mom. They ran away to Las Vegas and just did it! Ya see, my dads side of the family would be ticked if i married someone white, but who cares what they think.

No they would not be. My family is accepting and includes all kinds - white, black, filipinos, heteros, homos, schizophrenics, master degree corporate types, professors, to biker dudes and chicks - you name it we got it and when the family gets together a good time is had by all.
