I have a thicker leather watch band, and it smells pretty bad after prolonged use. I tried washing it with saddle soap, to little avail. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks-

The cost of getting a new band is not an issue for me; I just like the one I have, and it is only 1 year old, so I don't want to get a new one

Use a mild dishwashing detergent in water. With the band removed from the watch, scrub the band using the soap solution with a brush (an old toothbrush works well). Rinse the band and let air dry out of the sun. Now use the saddle soap. If the band does not soften to your liking, use neatsfoot oil or baseball glove oil.

Get a new watch band, they're not that expensive.
