This guy, wally, is new to the school. i dont have many classes with him...just one...and i see him in the hall and my locker is RIGHT next to his. He occasionally talks to me next to the locker....he smiles at me in the hall...and kinda looks at me in class. When comes out of class...i am walking through there at that moment...and its a coincidence and we smile at each other...i duno wut it means. is just being nice...or am i forcing him to smile and stuff? I really like him...and my heart races when i see him...what do i do??

Keep smiling, Amy, the guy likes you too. He's as shy as you are. Why don't you ask him to sit with you at lunch time? Then you two can really get to know one another and become good friends.

Only one way to find out.. Ask him out!! Or strike up a conversation with him.. get to know him.. then make a move if he doesn't first.
But a smile doesn't really tell you a lot... For example, I smile at girls I don't like in a girlfriend sort of way, I do it to be nice and it's better than frowning.. you know??.. but I wouldn't be a jerk if they asked me out, i'd just tell them i'm not interested and i'd still smile at them and be their friend. Don't take it wrong if he doesn't think of you that way.. he may in the future! If you get bent out of shape about it, he probably won't consider anything more in the future..
