I have a 13 month old who gets into everything. I also have a bad ant problem. The ant's arn't in places you would expect to find them. They are getting into our cloths, around my computer, other electrical things and papers. There not around water or food. So I need something that I can spray that will dry so my daughter won't get into it. We have a brick home and I'm guessing they are comming in under the base boards becuase I can't ever find a trail. It almost looks like someone had a contaner of ants and just pored them in the middle of the floor. Please Help!!

Use a sprayer with soapy water (I used liquid Dawn) and apply directly to ants. It will kill them inmediately. You may need to continue spraying until you find the nest where they're coming. This doesn't work with fire ants.

The company that makes the Raid spray, also makes a small "thing" like the old roach motels that you can set up near the ant hills outside. It attracts the ants with food and gives them a poison inside the thing that they then carry back to the anthill and kill off the rest of them. And to my understanding your daughter would be unable to get to the poison since it is inside the "thing" (sorry about this, but I don't know exactly what it is called, but it looks just like the old "roach motels") and short of chewing it open (which you should be able to catch her before she does that, plus I doubt her jaws are strong enough yet to do so), she shouldn't have a problem. I find the things in the same area where I find the ant and roach sprays at the grocery store, and they've worked well for me in the past.

To ger rid of them call a terminater(not arnold he's busy:):).
Tell them you are not plaaaaaying around and if they cannot do the job not to come. They often don't do the jobs, but only treat a few hills. I once had the same problem with bugs, (roaches) and ants. UI threatened a lawsuit unless they stopped messing around wiht me and killed the pests. They did than and for years I have had not roaches. They can do it if they want to. anyone can be roach free if the don't leave roaches free food and force the terminator to the job you paid him for.
If you child gets boittenby fire antsyo can put a solution of mild bleach in water and dot it on the infected parts. this releives the pain and swelling. usuay 1 teaspoon to 1 pint of water . adults or l;arge kids can use half strength watrer/bleach solution. ddon't leave iton more than a mijute or two.

pouring cinnamon over their trails disorients the ants and can help decrease their ability to find their way back to your house, perhaps some enclosed ant traps as well, a combination would work well.
