I had unprotected sex with a friend of mine this month, I am always on a 21 day cycle and never late! He swears he didn't ejaculate (we were highly intoxicated so I dont really remember if he did or not...) Early this morning (5 days late) I got the start to a period. Normally I have an EXTREMELY heavy flow right from the start with terrible cramps that will last about 5 days. Today is this really light pinkish/brownish color that is almost kinda watery? I haven't even had to change a pad yet its so light, No cramps really either (very mild)Now, I don't normally get much with PMS, just cramps the day before and I get super hungry the day before... but for the last week or so I have had this tight feeling down there (really hard to describe) and nauseated (expecially last night at work!) Should I bother spending money on a pregnancy test... poor college student here (lol) or just wait it out and see? And what is a good brand to buy if I should get one... Thanks a bunch in advance!

Oh girl- I'm married but wasn't expecting to get pregnant- I'm in college too- I had VERY similar symptoms to yours the first month. That bleeding sounds like implantation bleeding to me- I had tightness and bloating, too. Do both- spend the money- its hard I know- but get a double pack pregnancy test- and STILL go to the doctor- do you have a clinic on campus or health insurance? I'm five months now and happy I found out at six weeks and was able to get prenatal vitamins to help me and the baby. It is MUCH better to find out than keep wondering- TRUST ME. If you're pregnant- you've got a lot of decisions to make- if not BE MORE CAREFUL (i know, easier to give advice than take it) =)

I would go get a test because even if he didn't *** inside you you can also get preganant from a clear lubricant that would normally come out from him before he cums,also some girls have had there periods but still been preganant however that works,but it is heard of if not you may have an infection or at the worse it could be the start of a std,if the test comes back negative more than once go see your doctor

See how long the period last you. If its there for about 3-5 days you should be ok. But you can always go to a free clinic or hey get the cheapest test they are pretty accuarte. People who get the expensive test are people who really wanna be pregnant its a waste of money if its a negative so go for the cheap one.

hey there .....hope i can be of help well thing with pms-ing.... its really varies according to ur mood and state so dont be worried if on a cycle u didnt even feel a thing or another time it comes very hard its totally normal and as i said its totally mood-stress related...
as for the other question well as long as it came and even if it was pretty much lighter then thats a good sign ur not pregnant but just to be more sure yeps u should check out a pregnancy test

I found out recently that they sell pregnancy test some dollar stores. Oh if I would have only known that in college. :) Who knows if they are reliable but it would be a cheap starting point. You would definitely need to confirm any positive results with a blood test at your doctor. Another option would be to go to your schools clinic. They would do a test for little to no cost. This can be several things.
1) Yes you are pregnant but the early stage. And what you are seeing in where the embryo is implanting itself in your uterus.
If you did buy a HPT, I think it is too early to tell.
2) No you are not pregnant. Your cycle is changing.
My advice get a HPT. And the next time you get intoxicated, dont have sex and you dont have unprotected sex ever

If you really don't have the $$ you might wait a couple of days and see if you get your normal period, but if you are like me you'll be too worried about it to wait. I thought Clearblue Easy worked the best (easy to read), but it's been a while since I had to do this, lol! I hope it works out -- I totally missed my period once but I wasn't pregnant.

I had a period during the first few months of preganacy. It WAS like you describe.
I think a pregnancy test would be a pretty good investment at this point.
Most brands work pretty well now days. Ask the pharmacist to recommend one for you.
AND, don't trust your friend's word. Remember, HE was drunk at the time also.

I would defiantly either do a home preg. test or go see a doctor. You don't want to wait too long because if you are preg. you need to know. It doesn't do any good worrying about it. I heard that "Clear Blue Easy" is a good test. If you find out that you aren't preg., if I were you, I would look into some kind of birth control if you don't want to become preg. Good luck!

Better to be late than pregnant.....
Never mind the fact that you might be pregnant....what are you doing having unprotected sex? Have you not heard of AIDS? You have sex, which you don't remember whether your partner ejaculated, you are highly intoxicated while having sex, and you are 23.....grow up, be responsible, and hope to God that you're not pregnant!!!
I truly hope that you're not pregnant....it sounds like you're having too much fun to be a responsible parent!!
