And isn't it weird that he is studying law? I wonder if his goal is to be a liberal judicial activist that wants to legislate from the bench.

The constitution was written for the times of the founders, which is why there is a thing called the elastic clause. The founders knew that as the needs of the country changed, there would be changes that needed to be made to law. In other words, the founders knew that the constitution would need to be changed so it did not become out of date (for example, the nineteenth amendment, giving women the right to vote). The PATRIOT ACT took advantage of this, however, and shows that it is the conservatives who believe the constitution (bill of rights, or first ten amendments, as well as the rest) is out of date.
Edit: Another example can be seen from the US Senate. Originally, states picked the senators, now, they are picked by popular vote.

Liberals think the Constitution is outdated because it keeps them from doing exactly what they want to do, which is restrict freedom.
What is up with Coragryph-I thought he'd been cloned because some of his postings today actually seemed conservative.

It is outdated. It was written 200+ years ago, when we had a very different world, and very different threats.
The Founders never intended to hamstring the government and keep it from doing what needs to be done to protect us.
The constitution is just what it says it is. And it should be interpreted as narrowly as possible to place as few restrictions on the government as possible.
Socialism doesn't work. Every country that's tried has either collapsed, or is on the verge of collapsing and being supported by US aid. Captialism is the only way to go. And a Republican form of govt is obviously the only one that works.
Even the constitution, as old as it is, still acknowledges that.

I am not a liberal but I believe that the constitution has been amended to the point where it is moot. Misinterpreted beyond what was the original intent. It used to be a simple document that meant something all could understand and relate to. Now it is a over-length, sub-sectioned document written out of context by lawyers and so called lawmakers with selfish, self-righteous, and dangerous motives.

Uh, folks. There is an orderly procedure for changing the Constitution. The US Constitution is as relevant today as the day it was written. Radical interpretations by judges who create law with their strange decisions are a threat, but congress and the people can correct that if there is a will to do so.

Wow- a neo-con accusing liberals of trying to circumvent the Constitution. That's rich. Do we also screw the poor, pollute the air and water and play off of fear to get re-elected? Do liberals appeal to the kookiest of the kooky religious whackos above science? Why not transfer every major characteristic of your philosophy onto mine?
Have you ever heard of George Bush? There's a guy who sees the Constitution as no longer valid.

Liberals only think the 2nd amendment is outdated. The ACLU is in full agreement and would like to expand the other freedoms from what I've gathered.

Quite the contrary. I think you have a case of what is called "transference" which is projecting on to others what is true of yourself. Certainly Dictator Dumbya and Coup works day and night to shred the Constitution.

Probably for the same reason that RW Neo-Con Fascists feel there is no need for a constitution at all and yes, Curious George is no life time college student, that is for sure, but that chimp over at MIT with the B+ average is still pissed and he still throws shite darts at a picture of G.W.

Replace it with Sharia law via democratic process.
I wouldn't mind living under the Ottoman Empire - I think life was better under that imperialist empire than this wannabe American one.
