Start slow and then gradually add mins to your time each visit. Cuz you surely don't want to burn and then be in pain and still have no tan. cuz even with olive skin tone you can still burn.

Tanning Consultant Here:
1. Get a tanning lotion prefer something with aloe vera gel or oil in it. Use a bronzer or a tingle. These will help you max your tan out quickly. (The tingle is kind of stingy and give you a red look right after but will fade in a few hours.) Always apply before tanning!
2. First day go around 7 minutes... Just cause you dont know excatly how your body will react. Next day bump up to 10. Every other day bump up 2 minutes until u reach the max. If you have time your last couple of times sould be in a Super or Ultra bed...these beds are more of a bronzing beds, they dont burn you they make you look darker!
3. Do NOT take a shower for at least 2-4 hours! If do, you could get the uneven spotty look.
4. Use an after tan lotion! This will keep your tan longer and more natural.

I tan frequently and I would say start with no more than 10 minutes and increase your time daily as needed. If you find yourself burning increase the time slower or take a day off. I usually start with 10 then go to 12, 15, 18, and 20. Then you will remain at 20 every day after that. Another tip would be to start using a really good tanning lotion with moisterizer once you have gone to 20 minutes at a time.

Start off slow, I have olive skin but I burn in tanning beds. If I we're you I would apply a self tanner and if you go into the sun or in a tanning bed you get better results. Don't apply the tanner before tanning apply before you go to bed so it has time to develop.
