Collision - when two or more things come into violent contact with one another. There was a collision between the speeding car and the truck - both were damaged severely.

coincidence - an event or occurrence that seems to happen at just the right time or whit predictable timing. It was coincidence that the fish jumped in the air and landed in my boat as I drove through the lake.

step - to move up or down physically or literally. I took the job because it was a step up in the company organization.

Sorry - I'm too tired to define the others. I hope I helped and I hope someone else can help with the others. If not, e-mail me.

1-collision ---I think the root is collide
-- to come together forcefully--
--After the collision the two cars where totally smashed up.
2-coincidence-- a seemly convient happenstance that is not related
Wow what a coincidence that my old friend Mary, that I was just thinking about yesterday, just happened to go to the store where I saw her again for the first time in 10 years.

19-long-winded
to talk on and on about a subject
My teachers favorite subject is World War II, which she is always so long-winded about that she talks pass the official class end time.
