Have you thought that you may be "Overdoing" your facial hygiene, Sometimes people thinking they need to use all these man made chemicals on their face make their acne worse by stripping the beneficial oils of our skin and causing more irritation.
Try increasing your water intake swear off the man made cleansers and try a natural approach
Witch Hazel is a good mild astringent
so is lemon juice and/or vinegar
Try a nice steam It is relaxing and is beneficial to your skin
Combine thyme, lavender, and chamomile in a bowl of steaming water. Make a tent over your head with a towel and bathe your face in the vapors for five or ten minutes.
Try a few Holistic sites on the web they may offer more ideas and products that you may find more to your needs. Good Luck

I know you said you wanted pills but as someone who has tried everything (I have been on every antbiotic available and have tried every bith control available), for some people pills don't work. I have spent the past 8 years searching for a product or pill that would clear up my mild acne. 3 months ago I was prescibed the last antibiotic I could get, minocyline, it made my skin ten times worse than it was, at that time I swore off pills and creams and just decided to live with my acne. However, last month I was at the mall and ended up in a store called Sephora and a girl there recommended that I try Philosophy products. I am so glad I met this girl because it has been 30 days since I started using Philosophy and my skin is near perfect. I no longer break out, all my blackheads are gone, the red marks and scars from previous breakouts have faded, my pores are almost invisible and my skin never feels oily. I finally have consistently clear skin. If you are interested shoot me an email and I can tell you the products that I use, it is cheaper than department store products but a little more expensive than drug store products. I wish I would have found these products years ago because it would have saved me from wasting so much time, money and stress. These products are nothing like proactive or anything else you have tried. I had no hope before I purchased these products but now I wake up and look in the mirror and LOVE my skin!

Hi,The best thing to do is go to your doctor for your acne in the first place as the ones on the counter arnt prescribed and the one your doctor give you will be perfect for you skin, your doctor probably wont just give you antibiotics without giving you an acne treatment first. If the stuff he give you dont work then he may give you them, But if you havent been to your doctor, you wont know if there is a ance treatment you can get only on prescription that will work,so make your appointment tomorrow and see how you go

There are a ton of antibiotics they could give you. But they will most likely give you some sort of cream first before they give you antibiotics. They aren't going to start you off with something stronger than you need if you don't need it. Best to go to a Dermatologist than just a regular Doctor. Side effects with creams and stuff are the usual, dryness, redness, flaky skin, sun sensitivity, etc. Antiobiotic side effects can be nausea, upset stomach, diarreah, sun sensitivity, headaches, etc... Best of luck!

Do you drink lots of water? Water is a something your body needs, and the right amount of water to drink is 6-8 8oz cups a day. The water helps clear up your face, and can help improve your memory!
If you really want to use the pills, talk to your doctor and get them to recommend you to a good dermatologist, who will prescribe the medicine.
Good luck!

Differin gel works for me and I'm probably not spelling it right but it will be harsh on your face at first but it will soon clear up in a week or two. Make an appointment with the dermatologist as soon as you can because you usually have to wait a couple of weeks.
