Count from 1st day of period. But, everyone is not 28 days like clockwork. There can be some variation.

You count from the first day you start your period and then 24 to 36 days after that is when you should start your next period. If you do this every month (count how many days) then you can know how many days are in your cycle. Every woman is different so 28 days is just an average for most women.

You count from the first day of your period but not everyone has a 28 day cycle and not everyone has their period for the same amount of days. My cycle is different every month. Sometimes its 28 days and sometimes its 25.

The first day of your cycle begins the first day you begin to bleed. If you have light spotting for a few days prior to the beginning of your actual period, that DOES NOT count. The first day of full bleeding.

Not everyone has the same cycle. If I were you I would talk to a doctor to know how often to do this. You could go on birth control to have it regularly!
